To add HA, click on the bass note. On the floating tool bar, click on the A7 and a cursor should appear. If you have trouble, click on Help at the top of the page.
Things to remember:
Provide intervals.
Contrary motion is good.
Do not double leading tones.
You must resolve leading tones.
Keep it simple, don't get cute.

Process for understanding secondary dominants:
1. What are the notes?
2. What is the chord quality?
3. What is the likely function of that chord based on its quality and the key you are in (i.e. a major "two" chord is likely serving the function as a dominant chord (V), a diminished chord is likely functioning as a viio chord).
4. What is the harmonic analysis of the chord?

We reviewed secondary dominants.
We reviewed harmonizing a soprano line.
Homework 1997 FRQ 7:
1. Provide all possible HA for given soprano line.
2. Choose appropriate cadences at the ends of phrases (marked by fermatas).
3. Look for strong progressions and circle your choices.
We will pick it up from there. I will check for completion.
